A former company I worked at was big into the idea of executive presence. It came up in the vernacular of the culture and performance reviews. Even facilitators of executive presence were brought in to lead sessions.

There are good traits to be found in the idea of executive presence. But I always left feeling like the underlying takeaway was to be short with people and treat every interaction as business. And I hated this executive presence persona I was trying to masquerade as.
